GLS Freshman Orientation

Even before the freshman year begins, students are invited to many orientation events.  Freshmen Orientation is designed to help new students find their place within NYU, GLS and the local city. Freshman orientation brings together new students, returning students, faculty and staff before classes begin to prepare students for the upcoming academic year. Orientation provides the opportunity to meet new freshmen, meet faculty and academic advisers, and become familiar with the numerous services of the program and the University. For those students who study at one of the Global Liberal Studies freshman programs in Florence, London, or Paris, there are comprehensive and site-specific orientation programs that serve as an introduction both to college life and to living in another country.
